Join a management team
to help monitor properties
owned by the Bay County Conservancy.
Team members work together to:
Maintain information signs and kiosks.
Control exotic plants that destroy native vegetation.
Monitor visitor feedback from the Property Visit Report on the
website.
Increase number of birdhouses: build, repair, help aquire.
Build or maintain walkways, information boards, seating areas.
Promote public visits to the property. Spread the word.
Supervise school-group field trips to the property.
Clean up the site along roadways.

Become a Team Leader for a property.

Specific volunteer expertise needed -
can you help or do you know someone who can?
Realtor to help identify appropriate properties and negotiate
purchases.
Surveyor to mark boundary lines when BCC acquires property.
Biologist to identify biotic community of each property for a
management plan.
Computer-savvy folks to update the website, do spread sheets,
mail merge, newsletter layout and editing.
Grant researchers and writers.
Historian to maintain a file of news and photos.

EXOTIC PLANT REMOVAL PROGRAM
Volunteers are
needed to help remove the invasive nuisance plants that crowd out our native
species on BCC preserves. Most of these occur on Saturday morning and Wednesday morning
(before it gets too hot!). Email us at
